There is nothing shameless about letting everyone know about a great band. I have been listening to them since '93 when i attended IUP (Indiana University of Pennsylvania) David played there in '97 with Jewel in the HUB Multipurpose Room. I missed it to go to a party because no one new who was playing with Jewel. Couldn't walk right for a month afterwards from kicking my own ass so bad when I found out it was David. Anyway the Clarks met/formed at IUP and played Frat parties and bars and friggin jammed. I have probably seen them around 25 times or so (never at a frat house, always got in a fight when I went to those shitholes). They have been putting out in your face rock and roll the entire time.
I will admit that this new album is a little "poppy" and i have only listened to it twice, but I saw them the other week and it was probably the best I have seen them play since the mid-nineties. They have a new fire about them and they want to kick some ass. If you truely want to see them at their best travel to Pittsburgh and take in a show and the bars afterwards. You won't be dissappointed.
By the way I think their best effort is Love Gone Sour, Suspicion and Bad Debt, released on King Mouse Records I believe in 1995. This album is 100% pleasin from start to finish. Definately a band worth checking out.
