Reggie,

True enough. But this board never seemed to be a place where deep soul-searching can be done. It seems more like a provberbial cyber political fight club. Many of us speak in finalities without actually 'showing' our true selves. Mainly because we're all snide partisans on the side and victory goes to those who are still standing.

For example when Scott and Mr B. came diving in when I ranted about the lawyer who was suing Bush for 'allowing' 9/11, they both became VERY quiet when I gave what I thought was my most balanced and nonpartisan response about how the mainstream should stand together and all ambulance chasers should be dammed.

>>In a lot of ways you (and Kent) are very similar >>although neither one of you would probably care >>to admit it (and) as much as you seem to like to >>promote yourself as far more well informed than >>the rest of us leftist slobs. You know a debate >>is supposed to be an exchange of information.

I can admit that.

As to how I present myself, it's as much how you read my ravings as to how and what I type. I've seen things in different ways after these sorts of exchanges, but I won't be privvy to the paranoia that sometimes runs amok round here.

Whilst Kent is busy headbutting his keyboard and Dave is busy trying to 'return the serve' to me, all solutions are kicked to the curb. If we all took a deep breath and realised that not everything is a fascist conspiracy or everything is like being in prison, we could actually get to exchanging some information. Let me repeat, wherever we might be on the political scale, if we were faced with a crowd of hyped up Islamic fundies - they'd kill us all in a heartbeat if they could. So we can either stand together and start locking shields or keep going at it with each other and see if we can all end up in the sweet by and by. If America looses this 'war' we're going to be wishing we were living in a Fascist state... Islamic fundamentalism makes the Clinton years look like the Garden of Eden.

>>I just wish you would start with a better >>foundation for the house of cards you often >>provide us with. In other words step outside of >>the rather narrow path you tread occasionally.
I'll work on that. But isn't all political discourse nothing more than a house of cards? One house says you should raise taxes to WW2 proportions whilst the other house says you should give the money back to the people... both work and both fail.

>>Oh yeah, when you resort to just making fun of >>folks it's usually an indication that you don't >>have much left in your bag...bag o'tricks that >>is.

I thought I was just blending in...it's nice to see innuendo getting a foothold here =o)
