Not particularly.
I've never read any of his work because it seems to be the preserve of idiots. Speaking of which, I picked up a compendium of Bukowski's poems and have compiled a 'Bukowski Poetry Kit' for all you disenfranchised 21st century beatniks
How To Write A Charles Bukowski Poem
1) Pick a wholly banal event
"I was riding on a bus"
2) Make something happen
"And the conductor asked me for my fare"
3) Let the event deteriorate
"I didn't have the correct change"
4) Let it deteriorate even further
"And everyone seemed to be snickering at me"
5) Blame the whole hash-up on your Dad
"This is my father's fault... I hate that drunken buffoon"
