I saw this guy JOE HENRY on the Tonight Show, and bought his CD called SCAR. It is his first one, and it reminded me of the HURLY BURLY music. It has that same vibe.
It is smoky jazz with intelligent lyrics (of course, gotta have those intelligent lyrics!)
