Quasi-memory:

An artificial memory concept, so defined that the quasi-rememberer need not have been the person involved in the original event. X quasi-remembers E if and only if E occurred, X apparently recalls something E-like, and the apparent recalling causally depends on the occurrence E in an appropriate way. This does not require that X witnessed E. The point is to avoid circularity objections to psychological analyses of personal identity.
