If The object is to simply own the music,David has allowed us on
this board to make copies for one another. Whoever purchased this particular copy simply had to have the real deal, including the booklet, art and lyrics and could afford to do so. I think it's a statement of one's love for DB'S Music. So...
if you HAVE another copy please feel free to send it back to David so HE can sell it to someone who wants it that badly enough on ebay, be nice to David, come on!! Obviously, for an artist the idea is to distribute your art to those who will appreciate it then pass the good word on. Remember, We never had the opportunity to purchase this at a Sam Goody or Walmart, hence it's rare value. I think one could safely consider AFM as art. AFM was signed, numbered and limited to(according to this board) 500 copies, do you think maybe David wanted to see what might become of it? in this limited run? sounds like the design of a collector's item to me.
Sometimes you want something so badly it is beyond material wealth(when you have it). As for the seller, shame on you! you turned a $20 bill into $152.50, what a ruthless bastard!
I'm sending my AFM copy to Sally Struthers or Bob Geldof in protest and I don't even expect a tax write-off. Now that, makes me, one of the good guys! Right?
