Make sure you don't confuse Coldplay with Coldcut (early 90's sub-dance brit band). Although I believe Coldcut are good, I don't believe they are quite as good as Coldplay...
...Oh, another recommendation. There is an album by a band called The Unbelievable Truth called Almost Here. The relationship with Radiohead is that the lead singer of that group, Andy Yorke, is the brother of Radiohead's lead singer Thom Yorke (a talented family).
It has some very beutiful melancholic tunes.
Do you have any bands/artists in a similar vein that you could recommend?
