Okay, nobody hold me to these tomorrow, but here goes:

Boomtown: I'd have to say Swallowed by the Cracks, although this is probably the one I'm least sure about. That song just stands out a bit, to me, as something so incredibly catchy yet with an undercurrent of desolation. Okay, so maybe that describes the whole album....

Bedtime Stories: Liberty Lies. It's so dramatic; the contrast between the verses and chorus is stunning. Hello Mary comes a close second for being the most complex and twisted love song ever on the face of the planet.

Triage: A Secret Silken World. The first Baerwald song I ever heard, and still my absolute favorite. The masterful blending of styles, the power of the vocals, the beautiful trunmpet solos, I could go on forever.

A Fine Mess: As of right now, it would have to be Daydreamer. That song didn't really appeal to me on first listening, but has grown on me constantly. The lyrics are so packed with meaning, and the fractured-sounding instrumental part is so creative and perfectly timed.

Let's hear some more...I like this series of posts, it's so interesting to hear other people's favorites.
