There has been a lot said of Triage. Personally, After "Boomtown", I was very excited to discover "Bedtime Stories". Which sounds like an extension of Boomtown. I would have been quite content to have as much material as David could have produced in the vein of these 2 incredible albums. To me they express what rock & roll was ment to be, pure & sweet. It made you want to move! And I think thats where David "Shines" (Welcome To Boomtown, Swallowed By The Cracks, Liberty Lies, Good Times). When "Triage" came out, I was quick to perchase it. I remember I was somewhat suprised. Though the album was excellent in it's own right, I thought he was trying to fit into the trend of music being produced at the time...rap, Nirvana, Jane's Addiction... etc. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everything that David does, just some things more than others. I may be way off on this but that was my first impression. I would be very interested to know what David has to say about the transition from "Bedtime Stories" to "Triage". What if anything besides his own creativity influenced it?
