I was saddened but largely unsurprised by the senate's acceptance of the Caligula's Horse nomination of drunken racist and rapist Pete Hegseth as SecDef, who brings loads of baggage and no experience to the job. This Senate will do nothing to stop these people, because they are those people. So, we're all going to pay for the fatal stupidity ingrained in our DNA, so well represented here by the vicious bleatings of Pat, Mark, Dale, and whoever the rest of those idiots were.
