I confess, in 2015-2016 I was a 'fact-check troll' on Breitbart, a relentless one. Twitter, too, now that I think of it. I deluded myself that it was my civic duty to go there to debunk disinformation, which went about as well as you might imagine. These are not people who are interested in verifiable facts, for the most part, though they liked to name themselves things like Socrates, or Publius Maximus or the like.
