Just typing the words, "post truth society" must seem a surreal thing. 

How do we show people there is something so wrong going on here?

I know David takes the route of explaining history, which sure I like, many of us like that, but I don't think many people, particularly people on the MAGA side of things grasp that history at all. They also can't connect it in their minds to present day events. 

I've tried to just point to massive issues with the character of these people, people like Donald and Elon and the people working with them. I thought that showing and pointing out their character, or rather lack of any character, morals, ethics, anything...I thought that could have an impact. It seems like it does not though. That yeah, I guess as Kevin said, they think "god" is on their side. I can't grasp how that works?

God wants criminals, sex offenders, drug users, racists, dog killers, hucksters, bullshiters, phony pitchmen, people working for foreign enemies, greedy, self obsessed, conmen, and totally unqualified clowns, running/ruining our lives? He wants people that harassed and threated people that had their children murdered to continue to be tormented? He wants women that need an abortion to die or have to give birth to a child that will live only minutes so they can hold it while it passes? 

That's what "god" wants? 

I don't recognize any such god. That is a god I would hope does not exist. The god of cruelty, lies, and greed, that is who runs the show through a couple of ridiculous greedy conmen? 

I am supposed to buy that?
