Icon They were conned...

...and it is a tragedy we all have to go for the ride because they fell for it. Very tragic for them because they were trying to save lives. They were desperate, I understand that, but they cut a deal with a man that is well-known for preying on desperation.

Some people really believed Trump would be the "president of peace" and voted for him for that reason. I get it, who does not want peace, but if you look at the unholy trio of Rubio, Hegseth, and Gabbard they all talk about "first strike" as the best option. These are not peacemakers.

There are people that say when Trump is right there in front of you and he tells you something, it sounds convincing. I mean, for some people I guess this does work. Some say when he is there in front of you he can be charming. He does this well, I guess, the fake charm and telling a lie right to your face.

I don't think it works on some of us because we recognize what he is doing and see the lie clearly. For the desperate though, those that really want to believe something, like the killing will stop in Gaza, well, you can fool yourself into believing him because you want this so much. The ache in your heart and soul clouds your judgement. They just think "Please let this be true." but they put their faith in a man that actually enjoys crushing the hope in people's hearts and feels nothing but glee when he does it.

That's who he is and why he can lie with such ease. A person trying to stumble through an explanation of what is happening, telling the truth, telling you to just hang on and we will get there sounds weak to the desperate. But this guy just says "I'll do it on day one!" and they, understandably, like the way that sounds.

We are going to be able to tick off his lies one after another, no question, as he breaks promises and can't accomplish stuff he had no plan to accomplish. I guess we are going to see how much damage he does along the way, before either his poor health catches up to him or he does something so horrific it suddenly changes the perception of most of the population all at once.
