Let me offer a prediction.
The new congress gets sworn in. Trump will excoriate the senate for not giving him recess appointments loudly and repeatedly - meanwhile (Quietly) in the house, they will pass the "Bipartisan border bill" with any immigration court expansion cut out. The funding for the courts will be shifted to ICE enforcement and detention. It will go to the senate and pass, Trump will sign it and the first wave of roundups will begin.
Trump will give lip service to Due Process, and how those damn courts are soooo slooooow and how someone should do something about it, but we're dealing with more important things - "we'll get to it in a couple weeks".
And there is the grift.
