So people probably saw this, AOC asked her voters why they voted for her AND Donald Trump. It would seem a person that would vote for AOC would not be a Trump supporter but this is not the case.
Her voters praised the two of them for being honest...yes, you read that right. Donald has told more lies in a shorter period of time maybe than any human being in history but there were AOC voters that saw him as honest.
Now, I think this has to do with one simple thing, both AOC and Trump are critical of the government and both will criticize Democrats and Republicans. This makes Trump appear honest to these people. This is no revelation but when people that voted for Trump say he is "honest" they see him this way because he rails about how horrible our government is.
Harris apparently seemed to appear dishonest because she did not want to criticize Biden. Hence, to some voters, voters that would vote for a Democrat, they voted for Trump because he was openly critical of everybody. Sadly, I think this has less to do with Trump being honest and more to do with how he wants to sell himself as the solution to everything.
Wars? I'll stop them on day one.
Oil? I will drill on day one.
Immigrants? I'll start throwing them out on day one.
That's how he has always promoted himself. Going to build a big, beautiful wall and Mexico will pay for it. Nope, that did not happen and even the people working for him said it would not happen, because it was not at all feasible.
This time he has dropped the wall but is promising to deport 20 million people both illegally here, and legally here. Again, according to people working for Donald, they say just deporting 1 million people will be a near impossible task that could take years. So, deporting 10 or 20 million is not going to happen. They are saying the same thing about this as they said about the wall, it was just a campaign promise, not something they will actually be able to do.
That's not really honest, but Donald Trump gets a pass from people on the lies...because he is critical of everybody else. He blames everyone else for anything that goes wrong.
The MAGA party will control everything this time out, maybe people will see that, and so what happens or does not happen will be all on them. No excuses, no blaming the Democrats, they won't be calling the shots.
