So, I am not doing the blame game thing. Trying to figure out who to point the finger at. The first thing I was left trying to sort out is why I was wrong about what was going to happen.

For me, it is simple. I always view an election as a job interview. We, the voters, are the employer and the candidates are interviewing with us for a job. They come in and give their best presentation on why we should hire them, give us their background info, and tell us what it is about them that qualifies them for the job. 

When we, the voters, are hiring we may not get the best candidates, but we have to fill the position. So, one of these people is going to get hired. We often just have to choose the one that has the fewest flaws. 

That's it really for me. That's how I see it. 

So we got to interview Harris and Trump. We got to have them there in front of us, review their resumes, look at their backgrounds, and watch how they presented themselves. 

When I would explain to anybody how I viewed what was going to happen, who was going to get hired for this job, it was pretty clear who was the person I would hire. 

I know I keep bringing up Trump pretending to give a blowjob, but he did this, twice during his interview. I am trying to imagine anybody, any voter, seeing a person do that during an interview for an extremely important job, and thinking "Yes, this is who I want to hire."

Then you look at the resume, and not only does this guy pretend to give blowjobs during the interview but he has also been found guilty of fraud and multiple felonies. He has been found liable for sexual assault as well. When you ask him about this, he says "Women? Yeah, I like to grab them by the pussy. They let me do that." 

As you look as his work history, you see he has been involved with all sorts of bad behavior. He has committed fraud, he has dupped people out of their cash pretending to run a fake university, he ran a fake charitable foundation where instead of giving the money he was collecting to charity he kept it for himself, that had to be shutdown and he had to be banned from running charities. He ran beauty pageants for young girls and brags about being able to walk into their dressing room to see them naked.  You see that he was best buddies with one of the world's most famous child molesters and he allowed the guy to recruit young women to use for sex from his club. When you ask during the interview why he did that he says "He was a fantastic guy, fun to be with, and he likes beautiful women as much as I do." 

When you tell him the woman that worked with this sexual predator as his main recruiter is in jail for doing this he says "I wish her well." 

Then you see the last time he held this job, that he is interviewing for again, after being fired, you see he incited a riot with intent to hang his coworker. 

Now, I might be a total moron, but I do not hire this guy. Plus, the more you look, the more bad stuff you see in his background. 

As you tell him thanks for coming by to interview he asks you on his way out the door if you have ever seen Arnold Palmer's penis. You look at him wondering what the hell he is talking about and then he says "It was magnificent. Everybody was impressed with it. He was a real man."

You look around at the other people that were sitting in on the interview and you say "Well, I guess we can cross that clown off the list." and much to your surprise they say "Absolutely not! He's our guy. We'd like him to start tomorrow."

"Really?" I ask in disbelief and they reply "Yes, in fact we are sick of you and all your human decency and respect for others so we'd like you to get the hell out! You are fired!" 

I empty my desk and turn to say goodbye and when I do, they are all pretending to give Arnold Palmer a blowjob and laughing. A woman is dancing on a desk and saying "Come on! Somebody grab my pussy!" 

I realize I don't fit in here. How did I not see it before?
