I am sad to say, that this thread, a totally disgusting topic that was a horrific moment for our country, and that did come to pass where the Supreme Court did end up ruling a president has absolute immunity, was also where the thing happened where Joe said his back was put against the wall by David.
It was a misunderstanding, between Joe and David, not a thing where David tried to shut anybody up nor to threaten Joe nor anything like that. Note too, that David apologizes to Joe in this thread, says he is heartsick. David expressed the same to Dan and I when we saw him a couple months later.
There was no horrible thing that happened. There was a misunderstanding, a question, an apology, and admission of feeling heartsick over the misunderstanding.
That was it. It was not shit on Joe day around here. I thought in the moment it was minor, that Joe took some offense that David did not understand him and so he left, to allow himself to blow off some steam.
I did not think the thing would escalate into you feeling that David or anybody else here was trying to silence people that had a different outlook on things. I mean, that's not even what seems to have happened, it was about one person just not understanding a line that someone else had written.
I did not think it would grow into a blowout between people. I figured Joe would cool off, accept David's apology and that would be that.
I know there was this feeling that some of us, and I was included in that group, were pushing Biden too hard at people, but really all that was/is, was fear of things like what I had started this thread about...that there was a guy that wanted to literally be able to commit murder and take over this country and that he could do both with no consequences. That's why we pushed Biden so hard, not meaning to shut anybody up or throw people out of here that did not agree. Or to say you had to love Biden, or everything he did.
I think reread what happened and you will see all that happened was a misunderstanding, and then from there it seemed to escalate as all of us are more than a little uptight about where the world has been headed.
