Exactly.  I'm trying to look at the big picture here, the long game, not just the present situation.  I don't think the Democrats are at a schism point here, but the Democratic Leadership Council  is still around and has strong presence in the leadership of the Democratic party.  Those are the "pragmatists" the guy in the video was speaking about.  The problem with pragmatism is the farther you lean into it, the more you  lose your core values and ethics.  These were the people behind The Clinton/Gingrich legislative legacy - a huge part of why this country is so fucked up now.
