That the Biden team has been doing all they can to contain Bibi and his crew. The reporting on this has been out there that he's got everybody on it, including the CIA. I think he has to because, sadly, he and the United States are going to get blamed for what Israel does, and that is hard to stop.

I think the problem, the huge problem, is when children and innocents are dying, people don't take a rational view of what is taking place, they just understandably want it to stop. There is no mechanism for that though, Biden and his administration have no button they can push that stops what is happening. The Israelis have to stop it.

I think people have to remember, this began in October, and there was no way to prevent Israel from going into defense mode at that point. Hamas attacked, they are going to get a response...a big one. Over the initial two months, I believe the only reason things slowed down, that aid was allowed in, that there was a temporary ceasefire and real negotiations to free hostages, was due to the work of the Biden administration.

People need to realize, none of that was in Bibi's plans. The Likud party plans after the attack on October 7th began with 2 options, both included removing permanently all Palestinians from Gaza. For good, and option one was the darkest option, option two was removing the survivors to other nations, never to return. So, this is where Biden and his people had to start negotiations. Bibi and the Likud party had no intention in negotiating with Hamas for the hostages...none. Their stance is that you do not negotiate and immediately count the hostages as casualties. Their idea of negotiation is just "Release them, or we will wipe you all out with them." that is it.

Also their take on the opinions of the Western world is that we are weak and should not be listened to. That if they listen to us, Hamas wins. If we delay the fight, Hamas wins. If there is any hesitation in destroying Gaza, Hamas wins. One advisor openly said, every Palestinian is the enemy. Every woman, every child, every baby. That's how ugly and difficult that negotiation is.

David mentioned he has a cousin in Tel Aviv, he said her head is full of some awful genocidal ideas, well...this is why. The Likud party options are heavily promoted there, just like we have Trump and his minions heavily promoting MAGA garbage here. It is so widely spread, that just like MAGA, there are a whole lot of people on the ground that believe permanently removing the Palestinians is the way to go. Either by killing them, or killing a lot of them and turning Gaza into a place that is little more than a smoking hole in the ground so that the survivors must be relocated. This is, in part, why other countries in the region immediately said they would not take in Palestinian refugees in large numbers...because they knew that the plan Bibi and Likud had on the table was to remove them permanently and not to ever allow them back.

I know Biden and his people are going to get a lot of heat for supplying more weapons to Israel but just like saying that Israel must defend itself, this likely has to be done to keep us on some kind of footing where we have at least some negotiating pull. If they just stopped helping them, if they just shouted down what they were doing, that is playing into the hands of Bibi and the Likud party. Then they can just say, "See, we must ignore the West, and deal with this our way." and their way is not good. They have already agreed to use any and every means at their disposal...including nuclear. They are probably much more likely to do that than Putin in Ukraine.

So, while I don't expect to convince anybody of it, providing arms and saying "Israel must defend herself." may seem on its face a shitty thing, it is likely very much a required aspect of getting this disaster on a path toward peace of some kind. If it fails, Biden will be blamed, if it works, but still many die, Biden will be blamed. Biden and his team have been negotiating with the entire region to prevent this from escalating into a massive problem, and they know Bibi and the Likud party don't give a damn.

Now, when the United States goes in and destroys a country through war, we basically treat it like "You broke it, you bought it." and we pay and assist with the rebuilding. I don't think that is how Israel is looking at this. I think they want it to be a total disaster so people have to leave because there is no way to live there, and then they take Gaza for themselves. They are now trying to prevent aid getting in, adding to the humanitarian crisis, adding to the death toll, pushing the idea that the Palestinians have to get out.

We in the US know the difficulties of negotiating with a MAGA cult member, well, multi[ply that by ten, throw in that the enemy in this case really did kill a bunch of people, and think about how you get through to that.
