OK, well, now I think we have a problem. How big a problem seems to be debatable. I don't like this development though because I still think this country is really game for voting for third party candidates. Kennedy has across the board appeal and so I think he is going to syphon votes from both the Republican and Democrat candidate. The question is which he will do more damage to.
Some say this is going to drain more votes from Trump than Biden because more former Trump voters are looking for another option than Biden voters. However, there are a bunch of Biden voters that I think want someone other than Joe and so, Kennedy has potential to get them as well.
I really did not think RFK Jr. would do this because it is the one thing that could put Trump back in the race, just based on how many votes Biden could lose to Kennedy. I've read that Trump is furious about this though because people around the Trump campaign believe Trump will lose more voters to Bobby than Biden will.
All I can say is, it just adds to my nerves around this whole thing. I just don't believe our presidential elections are set up to allow anything but a victory by one of the two major party candidates. Kennedy probably tops out at about 30% of the vote but if he does, he is doing severe damage to someone.
Can we ever catch a break here?
