Well, you did get to act in a film with Jack Nicholson. You don't have any scenes with him but did you have any interaction with him when you were working on this? I met him once, when he was shooting The Witches of Eastwick and it was shocking because he mistook me for someone else and walked over to talk to me like he knew me. I had no clue what he was talking about but my best guess was, he thought I was a drug dealer or delivery person. 

Did Mr. Penn say anything to you about why he gave you that part? To me this and The Indian Runner seemed to be Sean working out his Cassavetes influences. Were things scripted or was there some improvisation going on? The party scene looks like it could be improv and the woman that dresses you down for having an empathy scale and your reaction look very genuine. How did Ricketts also end up in that scene?
