So, will we know? Maybe, there are still some investigative journalists out there working. With FOX, I think their closet has fallen open, the door is broken, and a whole bunch of stuff is spilling out and they can't stop it. I do think you are correct, that they knew they were making money by just telling their audience what they wanted to hear even though they knew it was nonsense. All the behind the scenes info that has come out shows that clearly. But, I think there was more than that happening. Carlson is said to have been fired for a number of reasons, including his calling one of his female bosses the C word. Honestly, I think that probably happens at FOX so many times a day that it is barely noticed. Probably more likely that Carlson got much too obvious with what he was really doing, particularly when he got McCarthy to give him all that video from January 6.
I know this is not short, and the video is a bit glitchy but it is an interesting discussion.
