About to be an 11 time loser. McCarthy can't become speaker even after giving the loons in his party the ability to only require a single congressperson to call for a vote to vacate the speaker. He gave away all power the speaker had and now they still want more. What a shitshow!
The Democrat Hakeem Jeffries is getting more votes to be speaker than all Republicans and the Republicans control the House. This is supposed to be ceremonial, but not if you are a Republican in 2023.
McCarthy already moved into the speaker's office. Matt Gaetz is calling for him to get the hell out of it. They can't even seat the new congress until a speaker is elected because the speaker has to swear them in. Of course, since Republicans think the Constitution is something you wipe your ass with, well, why should they care?
This is absolutely beautiful. Welcome to the new Republican out of control House. They are going to destroy the place.
