I don't know if they have avoided it yet, but they may. Supposedly 70% of the country understands the horrid behavior of the Republican party. According to several things I have read the party is absolutely hemorrhaging voters. I hope that is true and that in the midterms the Democrats hold the House and pick-up Senate seats.
