I have the Toy Matinee 5.1, and it is spectacularly good in my car's 5.1 system.  Will be interesting when it's next time for a new or used car (about 1-2 years from now).  I think CD/DVD is pretty much obsolete in those now so if not already in a used car purchase, it would likely be a  pretty expensive aftermarket thing. Not sure if I would do that.  "Triage" would be spectacular in 5.1, perhaps especially "Got No Shotgun."  

For stereo "neo-surround" mixes, I believe that Atmos is considered superior to 8D.
