What really bothered me most was the utter self-righteousness of his positions . . . even if demonstrably wrong.  Feels to me like he was a prime mover in the hard right and the working class right framing their arguments less on numerical results than on some hard-to-define moral or theoretical superiority.  Often proved false and maybe only once in a great while with a worthy thought.  He would accuse the left (with some merit) of acting emotionally rather than rationally to problems.  Then his followers would turn around and do EXACTLY the same thing.  If you judge a prophet by his fruits then Rush Limbaugh was a failure of the highest order.  Rot the grave, you piece of garbage.
