It may be a blessing in disguise for Biden that Trump has caused this group to reveal themselves. They obviously had concerns which had been growing since before Obama.
They feel Trump sympathetic, certain his economic programs benefitted them, not the rich who really benefitted.
A measure of how well the working people were doing is seen in the fact that after a week of the pandemic, they were standing in food lines.
On a related note. Chuck Collins, a scholar of inequality reported to the Dec 4th New York Times:
"On March 18, America's 614 billionaires were worth a combines $2.95 trillion. When the markets closed on Tuesday, there were 650 billionaires...worth $4 trillion.
"...it took almost three years for Forbes's 400 richest people to recover losses incurred in 2008's Great Recession.
"But in the coronavirus recession of 2020, most billionaires have not lost their shirts. Instead, they've put on bejeweled overcoats and gloves made of spun gold--that is, they've gotten richer than ever before.
Examples: Jeff Bezos, prepandemic, $113 billion, now, $182 billion; Waltons grew by $47 billion.
Collins: The more equal societies are, the happier they are. We are sinking into an abyss of anger, hopelessness, envy, and despair.
Trump tapped into the anger and despair. He also made the rich far richer without the pandemic.
