We'll see.  I think his "brand" will be tarnished.  It already is among much of the country, but I think it'll be tarnished among enough of his supporters that he won't threaten again (would be too old anyway).  I'm not saying that block of voters would completely disappear, but I do think it'll morph into something different.  Already-elected Republicans will have to move to a different tactic, or they won't beat Democrats.  Of course, a lot of that could change if the next administration (assuming it is Democrat) presides over a period of further chaos.

A friend of mine studied Political Science at Univ. of Oregon after a short military career.  He's long been saying that it's going to be a dangerous time in this country when minorities gain enough numbers and power to swing elections away from the "safe space" that an old guard of many White voters liked.  Obama's election may have been the opening salvo in that conflict. (He's full Native American and lives on the Rez, by the way).

So we're in that period where a lot of poorer Whites feel threatened and have enough numbers to cause some electoral wars.  Demographics being what they are, their power will continue to recede, perhaps even quickly in coming years.  It's not an automatic that whatever replaces them will make any good decisions - only different ones.  Case in point:  AOC, who has about 1 good idea for every 5 ludicrous ones.  But if we can avoid a Civil War and/or fracture of the nation and its borders, I'm thinking it slowly starts the process of healing.  Maybe even as soon as next year.
