An extraordinary article.

It's hard to believe Lindsay Graham would brag that he had just left a meeting with Trump as a way of emphasizing his own importance, like a chimpanzee beating his chest to show his rank in the hierarchy.

I never realized rubbing shoulders with power was so addictive, in our case this moment, an addiction ensnaring enough influential legislators, that our democracy is threatened as never before.

God, what a writer she is, what an artist, making analogies I never would have thought relevant, unintentionally making the case that humans really haven't changed much from the power struggles and fawning over power our primate cousins and we apparently inherited from our common ancestor.

Will the coronavirus respiratory disease  and George Floyd suffocation combine in a wave of empathy to spread a sense of needed cooperation across a planet threatened with self-destructive behavior of its inhabitants.
