That's the usual criticism of Burns' documentaries - particularly with music subjects. I know his Jazz doc had similar issues with omissions - especially the last several decades of jazz which got a single episode or less. As if jazz stopped evolving or being important then. I will be interested to catch this one though. I probably wouldn't mind if he left out the last 30 or so years of country music for this one...
