Icon Re: We're Not Fallen Angels, We're Risen Apes!

After we rose from the apes we adopted habits of whatever we got we shared. If someone was too sick to join the hunt or foraging that day, they still received a share at dinner.

Everyone had a job commensurate with their ability; all proceeds of work were pooled; no one was "paid" more than another.

Abilities were passed on to the next generation. Heirs, for the most part, did work similar to their ancestors.

Changing environment prompted invention. The inventor(s) got a pat on the back, having performed a task he/she were genetically expected to do.

The gene pool shaped the community, much as it does today.

Robots threaten to reshape communities, eliminating the necessity of millions of genetic profiles.

Global warming threatens to destroy life on the planet.

So does greed.

That, and the Standard American Diet (SAD). (Couldn't resist.)
