I like your reference to one of the Go-Betweens most famous songs there. Peter T.

That's a difficult question. I am sure big@l will chime in. There seems to be a new crop of indie rock, reggae and electronica bands out here - Sticky Fingers, Ocean Alley (reggae), Violent Soho, Luca Brasi, The Smith Street Band, Gang of Youths, Methyl Ethyl (indie rock) and SAFIA, Art Vs Science and Peking Duk (electronica). I also like DMAs - a bit like an Australian version of Catfish and the Bottlemen - and Boy and Bear.

In terms of the traditional singer-songwriter genre, I still enjoy Shane Nicholson. He has a new CD out which is great - much more back to his older style. The previous release followed his break-up with Kasey Chambers and was understandably a bit negative and sad as they have two children together. Obviously Paul Kelly is also right up there, as is Dan Sultan.

On the female side, I like Ali Barter (wife of lead singer of Holy Holy - also good), Alex Lahey, Amy Shark, Courtney Barnett and Gretta Ray.

Come on Al - let us know what you're listening to!
