Holy smokes, you're not 20 minutes away, Reg! And you're no kvetch, just an exasperated, informed patriot! As to Lowell, we often hit the Lowell Folk Festival (largest free folk festival in the nation), and for the last few years, we've seen all the plays at Lowell's MRT. Are you working in the downtown? We frequent Fuse, UnchARTed Art Studio (good pizza and they have bands), and TreMonte. Lunch is on me this summer, Reg! And Dale is welcome to make the trip down from Maine! Hell, I'll open the wallet to anyone else willing to make the trek and I'll personally provide a tour of the historic Lowell mills and canals, the not-so-world famous quilting museum, the justly overlooked James McNeill Whistler museum, the soon-to-be-forgotten Tower News.
