This is the promotional video for Swallowed By The Cracks, the 2nd single from Boomtown. The single for "Swallowed By The Cracks" peaked at 14 on the Billboard Rock charts in 1986. The band looks like they're having a good time in it - and is likely one of the few videos of the band playing that we have (there is a video from the Montreux Pop Festival with Ain't So Easy).

That's the video. Now there's the pathway this video took to make it here. In and around 1998 or so, David's sister Andrea sent me her one and only copy on VHS. It made the USPS journey from Florida to Virginia only to be snatched from my doorstep. I never got a chance to even see it. Many attempts were made over the years - even going as far as corresponding with an intern at VH1 who confirmed the video's existence along with Ain't So Easy. But I wasn't able to procure it. Fast forward to 2015 and a renewed effort led me a (?) Russian pirate video site where with a few dollars spent - the video was on my screen. And now on yours. Enjoy.
