I dig your “ride” videos. Living well. The ultimate respects to nature, infrastructure, man and machine (music & the lens).

Regarding the DBIS, though, I’m not certain that the button pushing and parti-colored trolling & toadying wasn’t more of a deterrent to a “happening” forum, but it did bring a certain dynamic. & that dynamic increased chatter. So there was a kind of synergy…but the trolls still suck ass. & have always been a bottlenecking & disrespect (ignorance added) towards a creative endeavor that was ahead of its time and certainly deserved a more resourceful use-of-words-&-music-&-film & other forms of media sort of forum, with the politics as a parallel—not maligned frags hurling the stink stank over the walls at every turn. There was an intelligent ironic comedy element that really could have expanded and turned out some cool creative pieces of dialogue …but it was squelched under the din of burp & fart sounds.

However this is not a bag on you, Kevin. I’m guilty of not accomplishing a meaningful discussion myself. We, as “fans,” consumers, whatever ye’ call it too often take the artistry that goes into a great recording for granted. Only a rare few ever see that level of studio gone to distribution life experience…and in the case of works of genius it probably never is a fluke. But “fans” can hang about with criticism and wantonness, and that’s always the easy thing. A belly never full.

This board fell short of the efforts of its creator and its generous namesake because of the panel members alone…and our inability to outshine (to not feed) the trolls. This board could have been far closer to real life (like it is for many of us who have continued to correspond backstage).

It’s definitely a badass fanzine nonetheless. & for some, life goes on.
