I'm probably miles behind the times here, but recently saw the documentary about Rodriguez on a flight between Perth and Sydney. What an amazing story - had my eyes welling on several occasions.I was only familiar with a couple of his songs and was surprised by how popular he was in South Africa (cue SJL). He came across as a very humble and unassuming soul - very likeable. Highly recommended documentary if you haven't seen it.
