Thank goodness for that. I think Baerwald's work is often praised for its raw lyrics and storytelling.
What's not so often recognized is the obvious craftsmanship: memorable melodies, some nifty
instrumental bits, good production. Those were actually the aspects that drew me in, and appreciation
for the lyrics came (years) later.
