I guess slightly off-topic but…
“Through the documentary it seemed to me Joe Walsh was the most down to earth and likable and openly honest of those interviewed. Most gracious, too.”
"Most gracious, too.”
Yes. Saw Joe Walsh recently on “Guitar Center Sessions”. Had me glued to a friend’s massive TV, drew me totally away from the poker tournament, pertymuch in awe of the ol’ man. Yes, Eric, he appears to’ve come full-circle as a musician/artist/human being. I was impressed & moved by his thoughts on the present state of music …and life experience in general. He also spoke in depth about how digital music has systematically drawn the soul & human element out of pop music…by overly perfecting every aspect of the recording process, virtually eliminating the subtle human imperfections & expressions that give a song its soulful elements. He is a mighty proponent of analog reproduction in any way possible in the 21st Century. To make a long story short: I dig the cut of his [elderman’s] jib. Got so moved by the interview and music that I took that mojo back to the poker table and cleaned-house for a change.
