I guess what I’m trying to access with this lyric, Heath, is the way that so many throughout our checkered history have stood beside good fires in out of the way vista-view & spoke of known & practiced good earth/human philosophies, in theory & in action, spoke amongst themselves & nodded in agreement ..only to never actually find purchase in numbers near enough to sway the status quo. Howard Zinn, for instance, a professor beloved by those who stood in the path o his breaking waves & said Yes. Yes sir, from my gut & heart I feel you are on to something true. & I will shoulder up. But he could speak until he was blue in the Stratocaster & STILL ONLY the mere few paid attention. & so even in all his written words ..effectively he ONLY said so much & SO MUCH was left for the days after his unexpected unearned untimely passing from this delusion of misery for sake of The Art of War (& Excess for cantankerous excess sake). & so the paradox. The class with whom “class” has a smell of fresh high-end bouquet on the surface but th’stink o some 5-star grease trap not far beneath. & our shills & toadies herein will likely Never see the facts for fear of releasing their sis-boom-bah ties to the status quo that, like a magic carpet, promises to sweep them into gold-standard prosperity & fancy pantaloons.
