The Tea Party's arc seems to be on the descent. I 'm not sure what there is to learn from their example
if you're interested in long term political movements. The answer to your question about 'why now', under this administration, is rather obvious, Peter. The
blatant racism underpinning the Tea Party has been obvious in many of their protest signs and the fact
that the moronic Birther movement has been hand in glove with the TP'ers since the beginning.
