There was a study -released in the 90's, as I recall- regarding peoples perceptions of the media. Essentially the left and the right and everybody else viewed the media as slanted in favor of the opposing camp, or put another way, the media was radical or insufficiently sympathetic to every viewers personal view.

Which I think pretty well speaks to 'reality', excepting most of us are incapable of viewing the managed media for what it is, a tool of psychological manipulation of the masses both in flicker rate(per TV) and in message(per the media at large: entertainment, reportage, etc).

But how surprising is that when in America if you throw a (figurative)stone, you're bound to hit a (literal)narcissist. peaceably,
