Icon My Day with Dr. Benjamin

Had the pleasure last week of spending an afternoon with local DBIS'er Gene Benjamin. We spent the day driving aimlessly around Seattle taking advantage of the free stuff to do: I dragged Gene up "the Poor Man's Space Needle"- the 1908 water tower in Volunteer Park- for a great view of the city (Sorry Gene, no Mt. Rainier), went to the botanical conservatory to see carnivorous plants that eat mice (they're never dining when I'm there), to a Vietnamese lunch in an overcrowded strip mall, to Bruce Lee's grave, to the Fremont Troll, and lastly, mercifully, to beer in Ballard.

Great to spend time with Gene. An instant connection and an ease in hanging out. Quite a great guy. You should all come visit when you can.
