we all on this board can get heavy, think deeply, get morose and angry and hopeless...and then we watch COPS and American Idol and Blind Date and we feel like winners again. we may even laugh at some of the world's beautiful and treasurable things and maybe even its (in a good way) absurdity.

Kent, just don't take yourself so seriously - we're all on missions here. some are informed, some are ignorant, some are spiritual, some are material, some are serious, some are silly. unity and cooperation and peace should be the goals. sure, we're lefties, and we like to attack the problems at what we perceive as their roots as opposed to doling out pounds of (too late/ineffective) cure. but there are truths in many things, i've learned from the people i argue with. damn. i coulda sworn i knew all the actual truths. hmm. once again, gotta deal with the other, gotta deal with the other, gotta deal with the other...

evolution wasn't built in a day, but it truly is becoming a race against time, for all the marbles. i veer between cautious optomism and...well, i'll go post it on the quotes section, if that doesn't strike you as too self-refer/reverential...

as a post-script, my IQ tested out at 6,347, and i basically clean bathrooms on ferry boats in between band practices. as always, self-actualization is paramount, and at my day job i'm clearly doing just that. ah, bliss.
