The joke is in thinking that Newt has any chance at all of winning the nomination. Like Herman Cain
and Rick Perry before him, he's just a foot soldier who's job is to take media attention away from
Romney. Too much attention to a presumptive nominee too early only serves to bloody the eventual
nominee in the public's eyes. This game of "who's leading" (as if that's even possible prior to any
primaries) is masterfully manipulated by both parties. I don't think the Republicans have any intention
of nominating Newt Gingrich to run for President.
