If i heard his shiite on the radio i would skip it to see what else was on, which, in this day and age, is virtually nothing... What's he singing about? And who cares? Songs should make you aware of that and draw you in. His don't. Listen to a Beatles song, Paul Simon, the Stones, Jim Croce, John Denver even... Or Wilco or the Decembrists if you want modern-day examples... Plus, his name sucks... ;/
