The Educational World
Just wondering how others in the education world are faring. We are down to brass tacks (tho they are to expensive). Just lost $540/student which will probably bring us down to #50 in money for students. My organization unit was just scratched off the organization chart and my half of the org unit is being moved too and taken over by a center and our portion of the budget will be the center's as well. The other half is being re-absorbed by the parent org unit. (Even though there are unanswered legal issues there). Meanwhile, moving us is going to cost tens of thousands of dollars because they need to rewire the rooms we will be moved into for all of our equipment. And our superintendent quit and will be getting a good portion of his 300,000 salary in retirement benefits and more than that in back sick and vacation pay.
