thanks for both of those... i enjoyed each for its own merits, but have to say i was inclined moreso to tweedy, even if it was tendentious on reg's part to direct the song my way. i can be a closed-minded ass at times... i know that. ed would agree, even though we clash in many other areas... i liked the song, i like tweedy, think he's brilliant and all, but frankly think mellancamp had more to say besides the fact that most of us often aren't open to what people have to say... nice to hear 'new' stuff, but tweedy can do much better than sky blue sky #2
