Are you familiar with both tunes? I was living in Fremantle (the coastal port which hosted the defence of the America's Cup yachting race) when the Men at Work song was the pseudo-Australian anthem and was played ad nauseum.I was so over it and still cringe when I hear it. The Kookaburra song is also well known as it is a staple for beginner flute players and both my daughters learnt the flute. There are certainly very strong similarities between both flute solos.
