Excellent reply, Mick, thanks. I will try and reply dbisly when I can think up something worth it to contribute. There are better intellectually equipped personages herein who are NOT participating. So either they don’t care or the discussion is beneath them, ..or what? Know this, though, brotha, I have a history of expressing doubts about the best (self-)interests of both controlling parties of DC. That includes President Obama. You must have seen me jiggle Ed’s & Heathcliffe’s chains, etc. The issue I’m stressing is WE don’t have any say in the matter. Our system of elections is rigged…just like yours. Heathcliffe seems to express it well too, although IMHO the cat has a sophisticated romantic penchant for seeking the high road to world-weary/streetwise enlightenment being that all this “imminent darkness” (as you kinda-sorta quote) is perhaps a necessary means/bridge to breaking these ties that bind us humans to these “Handlers (as I use).” Forgive me/correct me, Heath, certainly, if I’m misrepresenting you, sir.

But I also can’t take a gun and start liquidating asshalves, it’s not my font, brah, nope, & I don’t see much value anymore in protest; it would take a whole state’s worth of protestors and then some to even crack the paint on this well-conceived in well-worn but certainly embedded foundation of soft-terror. Sisters/Brothers, it takes a great deal of zeal and roadwork to make any headway anymore and even then it’s bit & pieced. Weak. Weak at best. Jon Stewart staged the biggest gathering in history ..and still the shit-heel mouth-breathing shill made a stronger statement a month or so prior. WHY???????? I don ‘t know. Jon Stewart sold-out to his notion of fair-&-balanced journalism …ol’school.. perhaps. & he’s a mild-mannered progressive Jew/American/Human Being with a strong inner core but a solid understanding of tact & ethics. He’s an honorable cat, I have not a single doubt in my mind (I admire the guy), & he, with the most powerful pen in the country..it seems, is a pragmatic..and runs a business as well. & So the duality. People just like me (& far better) have painted picket signs & walked the walk. *They were summarily diffused. What really would you have me do my Irish brother?

& so right now I find my greatest strength in dialogue. If I can absorb enough viable information through dialogue ..then perhaps I mean maybe I can follow or lead or be in the curve of the next wave of human empowerment and contribute something to the collective soup. Until then, I scratch my head. But not in apathy. NOT in apathy. & if as you suggest we are heading into the predetermined abysmal...then too bad for our progeny. And it all goes down to transcending lifetimes. & that just fucking blows, m’friend. & neither you nor I have anything to be cryin about anymore, OM. But my sons do. & that blows! & it’s partly my fault………but what is next that is legal & NOT overcooked?

I want you to know, Mick, I watch this scene over & over as a mantra every now and then, just to pound my heart & head at my own mad bugger’s wall, until it hurts, until it hurts, & I assist myself to feel like an inanimate heel. & so I write it down. I do aim to contribute. Please believe me. I’m no hero…but I have a pulse. I’m not the son of a beloved if misunderstood internationally recognized and decorated political scientist, but I have a conscience. I’m just an overestimated/underestimated citybilly with a fondness for language & the rhythmic voice of words on the page (useless so far really I mean really but jeez), y’ wild-eyed & furry-footed cantankerous ol’ ethically sound hobbit, ye.
