Interesting - an Anonomizer with SSL.

I did a cursory search and I'm kinda sorta not impressed. Basically what this software does is run all your internet traffic through an 128 bit encryption algorithm (SSL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Sockets_Layer) then through their Proxy server, giving you a second IP address (Masking your Identity).

To put it another way, it takes your browser's page request, scrambles it, and wraps/masks it in a internet package to their server. Their server then unwraps it, strips your identifying information from the packet and assigns new ID to it before forwarding it to the requested site. The process is reversed as the site sends the page back to their server, which forwards the package to you.

The encryption is initiated on your machine, so this could slow down older or low end PC's. You then run through their server - All this really does is add a few links to the internet chain between you and the site you are accessing, which is no big deal speed or connection wise.

This would be useful if you are on public WiFi on a regular basis or if you want to access country specific streaming media sites.

Politically, I'm sure a good hacker/coder could reverse engineer the software and figure a way to block it. China is probably working on it as we speak.
